The Natural Reserve of Torre Guaceto holds a precious wild and unspoiled stretch of coast (7 km) with ideal habitats for a lot of protected animal species. You’ll discover secular olive tree groves (forests of “living sculptures”), picturesque dry stone walls, high sand dunes and Mediterranean scrub, around the tower; it was built by Aragonese in 1531, and it was called “Gawsit” by Turks: the place of fresh water.
